Grab a cup of coffee and make yourself comfortable, because today we travel to Burano, Murano and Venice.
Burano is a small island in the Venice lagoon, inhabited since Roman times, known for its colorful houses and lace. There is a legend that the house were painted in colorful paint to the fishermens who would sometimes drink a little more, knew to find their houses. Today Burano is a home of many artists.
A little further to the northern part of the Venice lagoon, is the island of Murano, this charming island, is world-known for its glass especially chandeliers.
We finally arrive in Venice, one of the most beautiful and most romantic cities in the world, famous for its canals, gondolas and rich history. It is located in the northeast of Italy and the center of the Veneto region. Instead of streets, the city is cut by 150 canals with lots of small bridges. Also essential attractions to visit in Venice certainly is St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica of St. Mark, the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s clock, Basilica of St. Mary of Health, and a romantic gondola ride long Grand Canal, which cuts through the city in the shape of a giant letter S.
- Tip: during a visit to Venice, don`t go in the first street to drink coffee, if you go just a little bit down the road you will be surprised, prices are much lower.
