The Gold Lipstick, a blog that regularly inspires us with news from fashion and beauty world. Since we enjoy spending time on this minimal, elegant, sexy and refreshing blog, we decided to bring you an interview with the blog’s author, Mireia. We talked about her favorite pieces in her closet, favorite places in Spain, how it all started with the blog and where she sees herself in 5 years.
Talk us through your blogging career- how did it start and how has it progressed?
I started blogging on The Gold Lipstick five years ago and haven’t stopped since. Many things have changed: my style, my writing, photography, structure of the posts, blog design, brands I collab with, profesionality and, the most important, me.This journey has taught me a lot since when I started there was no information or any kind of help on how to do it, so I had to find a way to make it work and I’m so proud I did it! Now I get to work with brand I never though I would collab with, I attend amazing events that allow me to meet great and inspiring people, and I just couldn’t
see myself giving up anytime soon.
Since you’re from Spain, which places would you recommend to someone who wishes to travel there?
I feel like Spain is such a beautiful country to visit since it is full of amazing cities with great things to offer. For bigger cities I would recommend Madrid and Barcelona, since there’s so much to visit and do all day and all night. But, since I’m a food lover too, I would recommend you to go to the south (especially Cordoba and Granada) which is also crazy beautiful, the people is really nice, and the food is simply amazing. The only thing you have to be careful about is the time of the year you choose to come here, since it can get really hot during summer.
What is your favorite item in your closet?
It’s too hard to choose just one! I have some items I love and wear over and over again (white trainers, black blazer, camel coat, baker boy hat, etc.), but then I also have some other I absolutely love but don’t wear that often because it’s not the right time or I’m too scared that something is going to happen to it (definitely my vintage Burberry bag).
Describe yourself in three words…
Goal-oriented (I’m really focused on what I want and work hard until I get it), open (I love to meet new people, cultures, etc., and being shy is definitely something that does not take you far in life) and, if that’s even an accepted word, meraki (since I always put my heart in every single thing I do and appreciate when things are made with thought and love).
Finish this sentence: when I have 5 minutes to get ready, I…
I put on some mascara, brush my hair, and I choose the easiest outfit ever, which is black jeans, white trainers and, depending on the weather, a white tee or jumper, and a blazer or long coat. Done!
How would you describe your style?
Neutral (of course), basic, but smart, chic and sexy. I think the key is to get clothes that can easily match with each other and that are pretty timeless, and then just combine them with grace and add nice details to make your outfits stand out. And, the most important, choose what you feel the most comfortable in and always add your personal touch.

What is your favorite part of being a fashion blogger?
I would say that is not that much about the fashion itself, but getting to inspire so much people through my style. Not only about which items to choose and how to mix them, but how to empower themselves, feel more confident, and express their personalities through the clothes they wear.
Where do you see your blog in the next five years?
The blog has changes a lot in these past 5 years, so 5 more would definitely make a huge difference. I see my blog bigger and stronger. I’ll be even pickier with the brands I collaborate with, and it’ll be my full-time job. Also, I’ll be creating content for brands as a writer/photographer, and even maybe have my own little brand.
