Chocolate cakes have always been our favorite. And we won’t lie to you, we could eat them all every day. We’re sure that we’re not alone in this; there must be chocolate fans among you that can’t resist their sweet chocolate goodness.
We tried making a couple of healthy chocolate cake variations (avocado chocolate cake), but we haven’t made a RAW chocolate cake yet. There are many benefits of eating raw food and one of them is strengthening of the immune system. For this cake you’ll only need 10 min and a blender, and all of the ingredients are surely in your kitchen cupboard. Main ingredient are walnuts, but if you don’t like them, you can always swap them with other nuts.
Not only they have a full and rich taste, but they are also a real nutritional treasure. Nuts are rich in protein, fibers and B vitamins. Also, they are filled with minerals like potassium, magnesium, zinc… They lower fats in your blood and help with inflammation.
Next ingredients are honey and dates. Wewill use them as sweeteners.
We’re sure that you are aware of all the health benefits that honey has. But don’t underestimate dates, they are not considered among the healthiest fruits for no reason. They’re rich in potassium, iron, sodium and are great for the immune system.
Before you start making the cake, leavedates in hot water for 10 min to soften them up. If you don’t have dates, youcan use only honey. Try out the mixture while making it so you can determinehow much honey to add.
Put walnuts, cocoa, dates, honey and coconut oil in blender. Mix all the ingredients well until you get a compact mixture. Put the mixture in a smaller cake mold that you previously put baking paper in. Put the cake in the fridge for 2 hours so it can cool off completely. We are sure that you will enjoy in this cake as much as we do.
