Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies With Only 4 Ingredients

by

I love trying out healthy cookies. But, to be honest, I don’t like majority of them. If you made them before, then you’re familiar with their gummy structure, and let’s not even get into the lack of crunch they have. For the last year or so, I’ve been a huge fan of peanut butter. I love it with dark chocolate, apples, on toast, and whenever I get craving for Snickers, i take crunchy peanut butter and mix it with dates. A perfect dessert if you ask me.

I don’t like oatmeal, I force myself to eat it, and it only tastes good for the first 3 spoonfuls. After that, I’m already full. And that would be great if wouldn’t get hungry again after 10 minute. I tried making cookies, cakes and other desserts with oats, but they didn’t turned out so well (except for granola). Then I tried one more time. I stumbled upon a recipe for peanut butter and oats cookies, and i had to try it out. From just 4 ingredients I got amazing cookies.

So, what are those 4 ingredients? I think you already have a hunch. Yes, it’s oats, peanut butter, chocolate and agave syrup. Oats are really healthy. They are rich in fiber, has vitamins b1,b2, minerals such as zinc, copper, calcium, magnesium, selenium, and of course, they are anti oxidants. Peanut butter is filled with protein and healthy fats and is a great source of energy. When buying it, be careful to buy those that don’t have added sugar and oil. Agave syrup is a third ingredient that will make our cookies sweet, just like chocolate.

So let’s make some cookies, shall we?

Ingredients:

  • 1dl of oats
  • 1dl of peanut butter
  • Chocolate
  • 1,5 tablespoons of agave syrup

You’ll need a blender with this recipe. Blend oats into flour, then add peanut butter and agave syrup. Blend well. Now you have your cookie “dough”. You can add chocolate flakes or pieces that you cut from your favorite chocolate. The amount you add is all up to your taste. I’ve tried it with milk and dark chocolate, and they are both delicious.

Shape your cookies, press them gently and put them in you baking tray that you covered with baking paper. Bake for about 7 minutes on 180°C. When they get golden, they’re done, so keep a close look. You will get about 8 cookies from this recipe, so if you want more, just double the amount.

Enjoy!
