Who doesn’t like gummy bears? They were totally our favorite as kids. Especially the red ones. Yum! But we all know how bad these little gummy candies are, at least as far as calories and blood sugar are concerned, and given the fact that after the first candy it’s hard to stop, we have decided to make healthy homemade gummy candies, with only THREE ingredients. You’d be surprised how easy it is. And best of all, you can choose your favorite flavor and mold shapes that you like.
What you’ll need:
80ml pure juice
3 tablespoons honey
10g unflavoured gelatin
Let’s do it!
In a small bowl, combine the juice, honey and add gelatine. Stir and set aside for a few minutes until the gelatin blooms. Now heat over medium heat until gelatine melts (just before boiling). Remove from the heat and pour the mixture into a small pan (or gummy molds). Put in the refrigerator for a few hours to firm up completely and then cut them into small squares. And that’s it! Easy, right?
* For stronger colour add food coloring if desired.
What is your favorite gummy bear flavor? Have you ever tried making the gummy bears yourself? Tell us in the comments.

March 1, 2018I’m actually amazed that it’s this simple, especially being used to seeing so many ingredients on the back of a packet. I’d have to find an alternative to gelatin which could be the hard part but it’s so great that you can make healthier treats at home x

March 1, 2018Oh wow, only three ingredients!? I gotta try this! What’s great is I can always add a juice with low sugar, so it’ll be a healthy gummy. My favorite gummy bears were always the clear/pineapple flavored ones. Thanks for sharing this neat recipe!
