Is there a person on this world who can resist Nutella? We can’t! It’s smooth, rich, creamy and sweet… oh so sweet. We have been eating Nutella for breakfast for years. You know that excitement waking up to breakfast as a kid, and there is Nutella on the table? Yum!
Today we’ll be making a healthier version of Nutella, which is much lower in sugar (it can even be sugar free!), it’s high in vitamin E and healthy fats, and it has a half the calories of store-bought Nutella. And not to mention, ridiculously close to the real thing.
This recipe is so simple, requiring just 5 ingredients: hazelnuts, raw cocoa powder, water, honey and dates.
.
Let’s go!
You’ll need:
70 g hazelnuts
2 dcl of water
100 g of dates
2 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder
2 tablespoons of honey
Instructions:
Roast hazelnuts for 6 minutes. It will warm up the natural oils and loosen the skins. Let it cool. Blend the nuts with water until they’ve turned to butter. Now you can add dates, raw cocoa powder and honey. Blend all ingredients until it’s smooth (3- 4 minutes). If it’s not sweet enough you can add more honey. And that’s all!
