Chocolate Tarts

We love chocolate, but honestly who doesn’t ! We tried spice dark chocolate with cinnamon, served it in little cups, the result was pure PERFECTION! These small hot chocolate tarts are for serving to guests or simply to make for yourself and enjoy in them with a glass of wine.

You will need:

For the dough

  • 150g of butter
  • 2 egg yolk
  • 300g flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 80g of sugar

The Filling

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150 ml heavy cream
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar

Lets Do This

First, turn on the oven to 180 C.

Lets make the pastry.Put the butter, a pinch of salt, sugar, two egg yolks and flour in a large bowl and mix until you get nice texture. Place it in the refrigerator for an hour. Now it`s time to make your little tarts, fill tart shells with pastry.  This step is important, use a fork to prick the bottom of the crust, in that way pastry won`t bubble up during baking. Put them in oven and bake for about 14-16 minutes until light golden brown.

Now it`s time for filling. Chop chocolate into small pieces, and put them in a large bowl. Bring 150 ml of cream just to a boil over medium-high heat and pour over chocolate. Add one teaspoon of cinnamon and stir until smooth. Put the filling into tart shells, and left them for a few minutes to cool down.
