You know those days where you just need a little chocolate in your life – but you don’t want to eat something that will make you regret it? We found the perfect solution! Avocado Brownies. Oh em gee. They are so rich, chocolatey and delicious, you simply have to give them a whirl!
It might sound strange to add avocado in desert, but they are a secret ingredient you might never knew you needed. Avocados are very nutritious and contain a wide variety of nutrients, including 20 different vitamins and minerals. But, not only that, this super healthy fruit (yes- avocados are a fruit!) can replace butter and even eggs in baking, making desserts incredibly moist and rich.
Let’s do this!
For making these delicious brownies you will need:
- 150g dark chocolate
- 150g of butter
- 3 eggs
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 avocado
- 60g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100g nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small food processor, process the diced avocado until puréed and smooth. Set aside. Now you need to melt chocolate with butter until you get smooth texture. In a separate bowl, mix eggs with sugar, until well incorporated. Gently add in the flour, baking soda, and avocado and mix well. Now, add melted chocolate and chopped nuts into the mixture. Mix well so that all of the ingredients are blended together. Pour batter into a greased baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. And that’s it!
