It’s hard to believe fall is right around the corner… there are only 3 days until 1st September!! Time just seems to fly. In Croatia is still hot AF, but the temps are going to start cooling off soon ( we hope!). Don’t get us wrong, we love Summer, but we also love refiling our closets with our favorite fall outfits. We always try to make the most out of our clothes and cook up new ways to wear them. Whether it’s layering slip dresses over white t-shirts or wearing a maxi summer dress with chunky cardigan and tights. This not only saves us a whole lot of time, but we also get the most bang for buck.
So today, we wanted to share with you some of our favorite ways to transition summer wardrobe into fall.
#1 Invest in Denim Jacket
There is nothing more versatile than a denim jacket. It is perfect for chilly summer nights and as an extra layer of warmth in the fall. Not to mention, they are super easy to style! Whether it is a dress, a skirt or pants, a denim jacket will always be the perfect piece to complete the look. So getting yourself a good one is such a MUST for fall. And it really pays off just to put in a little extra money, because this is something you will wear again and again, year after year.
#2 Add Deeper Colors And Prints
Before the purchase, I always love to visualize how I am going to wear something. Do you do that? If I could wear this item at least two to three different ways, I’ll purchase it. And it happened with this gorgeous PrettyLittleThing leopard skirt. Leopard-print midi skirt is everywhere these days and has become a seemingly tailor-made wardrobe staple ( I already have two in my closet). What I love about this skirt is that it is the perfect versatile item to transition your wardrobe through summer and into the fall. All you need to do is trade in your sandals for booties, throw on a sweater and you will get a whole new look.
#3 Keep Your Summer Dresses
I am still not ready to ditch my favorite summer dresses. So what I love to do, is layering fall pieces such as denim jacket, chunky-knit sweater, or even a knotted chambray shirt, over the maxi dress. And it looks amazing!
For this look I opted for super cute *cherry printed dress with cute bows. I paired it with *denim jacket and *white sneakers. I am absolutely obsessed with this dress, the fit is SO FLATTERING. It’s super comfortable and easy to dress up or down.
#4 Never Enough T-Shirts
T-Shirts are a piece of clothing that you can wear any day of the year, in any season. By itself, it’s great for summer. With a jacket or a knit it is a perfect fall outfit. The type of material you get also plays a big role. So go for 100% cotton shirts. They are super soft and gentle on the skin, and much more breathable than polyester blended fabric.
#5 Blazer, Blazer, Blazer
I think I don’t need to explain why you need the blazer this fall. It instantly pulls together any outfit, making it look like you’ve put in effort even if you didn’t.
For this look I opt for *checked oversized blazer from PrettyLittleThing, mom jeans from Pull&Bear (similar here), simple crop top from Bershka and croc-embossed boots from PrettyLittleThing. I LOVE this blazer! It’s super comfy, and looks great with almost everything in my closet.
