We don’t need to explain what Stranger Things is, right? Like most of the world, we are HUGE fans. Let’s just say that we binge-watched season one and two in just three days! Crazy, right? But we are sure that we are not the only ones. Stranger Things has really became a cultural obsession. It’s the perfect combination of amazing characters, science fiction, fun 80’s and of course, fashion. We have always thought that ’80s were a bit wacky and tacky when it came to style (think shoulder pads, neon colors and leg warmers….), but we were so wrong. Just one look at Nancy’s style, and we could definitely see ourselves wearing this.
As we loved this style so much, we thought, why not incorporate looks from Stranger Things into our own wardrobe? Sherpa-collared jackets, frilly sweaters, mom jeans, and turtlenecks are ideal for cold November days. And if combined right, they look pretty awesome.
As we wait for season three, we decided to make three looks inspired by Stranger Things.
Since the show is mostly set in the fall, the characters wear a lot of layers. Especially Nancy! What we love about layering is that it allows you to be creative and try an unconventional combination of items in varying lengths. For example, layering a button-down underneath the turtleneck, will make your outfit look a bit of dressed up, but still, make you warm. It’s a win-win.
When it comes to Stranger Things, denim jackets are a MUST HAVE! Our favorite is one that Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) wore. It is amazing Sherpa filled and collar denim jacket. So we decided to incorporate it into this look. We paired the Pull&Bear jacket with cool trousers from Etré Tokyo, Reebok sneakers, and Stranger Things t-shirt also from Pull&Bear.
Remember that moment when Dustin’s dinosaur hoodie broke the internet? Graphic and slogan t-shirts in this show are definitely the best! We didn’t find that dinosaur one, but we think that this Elton John tee will work just fine. We combined it with plaid skirt from Zara, puffer jacket from Stradivarius and classic Dr. Martens boots.
Who’s your favorite main character from Stranger Things? Tell us in the comments.
