Schmidt’s Rose + Vanilla Deodorant Stick: Review

In the last few years, I thoroughly started researching deodorants and deodorant creams. If you Google deodorants, one the first results that will come up will be articles about harmfulness of one their main ingredients. Aluminum. As far as I know, aluminum plugs up the pores and that prevents sweating. Yes, we would all love to stop sweating, but it’s a very important process to our body. And because of that I opted for natural deo creams. Schmidt’s deo sticks were popping  up the most while searching. Seeing that they had a lot of positive reviews, I decided to get one.

Schmidt’s was founded in 2010 when Jamie Schmidt started making natural personal care products in her kitchen. She started that out of frustration for not being able to find natural deo creams. Oh, how much easier we have it today, the choices are vast and it would truly be a shame to keep using those harmful deodorants filled with aluminum.

Encouraged by their story and natural ingredients, I got myself a Schmidt’s deodorant Rose. First impression was the scent; it was beautiful and subtle. Texture of the deodorant is somewhat odd, it was hard and solid. Later on I discovered that it gets softer if you make it a bit warm and then it’s applied with ease. If i don’t get it warm, I can get irritated. The ingredients are also great: coconut oil, arrowroot powder, sodium bicarbonate, essential oils… I really have no complaints. If I apply it in the morning, it lasts all up to the evening. It’s really long lasting, even when i’m excercising or running. Truly phenomenal. One thing that bothers me tho, as a person who wears white t-shirts a lot, are the yellow stains. Because of that, this deodorant will be ideal to use in the winter.

I ordered it from Notino, price was $7.80. As for the score, I would give it a solid 4/5. It smells great, and it works! Highly recommended!
