Whether it’s on the beach, in the yard or on the balcony, with the first rise in temperature, the sunbathing season begins. We all want that beautiful bronze complexion after the first sunbathing, don’t we? And in order to speed up the tanning process, we reach for various oils and jams.
For the last few years, tanning jams became a HUGE HIT among tanning products. In just a few days, you can achieve the color you usually couldn’t get in even a month of sunbathing. This time we had a chance to try Afrodita Sun Care Natural Marmalade. And we were thrilled. The first thing that attracts you is that wonderful smell – the smell of cakes. It smells so good you’d want to eat it! The jam comes in a 200ml package. It is made from 99% natural ingredients, such as jojoba, olive and coconut oil, shea and cocoa butter.
We always strive to use natural cosmetics with proven and safe ingredients, and the Clean Beauty app helps us a lot. It is an app that helps you find out exactly what’s in the product. You just take a pic of the list of the ingredients after which the app gives you an overview of those that are debatable (controversial ingredients and allergens). This is exactly what we did with Aphrodite Marmalade and it did not show us any harmful ingredients. Yay!
The texture of the tanning jam is as the name suggests, like jam. It is very easy to apply and leaves a beautiful shine on the skin. And best of all, it doesn’t melt. We were very happy with the results. Although we usually get the tan super quickly, with this jam it got even easier. We both, after the first day could notice the difference. Especially on our legs! As the tanning jam does not contain an SPF factor, combine it with sunscreen – especially if you have sensitive skin. Spread sunscreen first, then jam.

Cherry on the top – Afrodita Aloe Vera Sun Care Gel! We don’t know about you, but we always use aloe vera lotion or aloe vera itself after sunbathing. It is good for skin irritations, as well as burns that can often be on our shoulders and nose, we are not the only ones, are we? This gel stimulates the regeneration of skin cells, soothes, provides long-lasting hydration and prevents peeling. We use it not only after sunbathing, but also after waxing, thus avoiding skin irritation. The gel comes in a 150ml tube.
