We have always viewed Vitamin C as a vitamin that keeps us healthy, especially if you catch a cold, getting as much tea and vitamin C in your body was a priority. But we were unaware that there are creams, serums and a whole lot of skin care products containing vitamin C. We oftenly share our daily and night skin care ritual secrets with our friends, and during one of those talks, a friend, who knows practically everything there is when it comes to preparative skin care, mentioned vitamin C serums, and shorty afterwards, gave me one (thank you, G.).
So, what does vitamin C do for our skin? It contains antioxidants that protects skin from various enviromental impacts, it reduces hyperpigmentation(something that we battle with), lowers infalammation, stimulates collagen production, making our skin look younger and more fresh. So, now that we’re done with theoretical part, let’s get down to the more fun, practical part.
Vitamin C serum from Mad Hippie comes in a beautiful package, in a dark 30ml bottle with a dropper(first thumbs-up). Serum is almost entirely natural, it is cruelty free and vegan, which immediately give it a second thumbs up. I’ve been using it since March, and I think that results have become quite visible now. When I started using it, I had a problem with occasional acne that would leave a spot on my face that wouldn’t go away. Today, my face is practically spotless, which means that the serum works (third thumbs up)! Serum has a watery texture, and it’s absorbed almost immediately, it makes your face a little sticky, but it goes away after 30 minutes. It has a fruity scent, it’s not agressive and it suits me.
All in all, i would rate it 5 stars!

September 5, 2017What a nice review, very informative! Maybe I should look more into C-vitamin serums myself since I also happen to get spots on my face which get really sore easily and leave visible marks.
