When it comes to make up, we don’t like to put too much of it on our faces and we always strive to have that “no make up” look. Our previous choice, face & body powder by Mac, although we loved it, it’s minimal covering was a big problem. Especially during PMS, when our skin needs covering the most. Don’t get us wrong, by covering we don’t mean about plastering your face in make up. We don’t prefer matte powders, we always like to lightly apply dusting powder if we are in need of additional matte.
Lisa Eldridge spoke about LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Cushion, a cushion powder inspired by Asian make up trends, which should cover imperfections perfectly while maintaining your skin to look completely natural. After reading a bunch of reviews, I decided to give it a chance. The first thing I liked was it’s practical packaging, ideal for a purse, or travelling bag. With the powder, you also get antibacterial sponge, which you don’t have to use if you don’t want to. Choosing a color was a real challenge. Although the powder comes in 6 shades, they all looked pretty red-ish. Shade No 3 looked the most fitting for my skin, so i picked it out. I noticed that, if I don’t spread it well enough, that previously mentioned red tone could be seen, especially in the light. Another weak point I would like to mention is that it doesn’t last long in terms of quantity. I don’t apply it every day, powder was bought in December, and it is almost gone! On the plus side, it covers perfectly, looks really natural and nice on the skin, it has a neutral scent, and it suits me better than Mac Face&Body. Price is $53, and if you’re looking to only test it, you can get a refill for $35.
Hope that you will find this review helpful, and that you will enjoy wearing this powder. Also, look out for Nars powder review, which Sandra adores.

March 15, 2017Hmm.. I’m Asian, this might work great for me. Since the price isn’t too expensive compared to that of Mac’s might as well try it. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

March 21, 2017I’m actually not the biggest fan of cushion foundations but I have the L’oreal one and I quite like the formula. I’ve also used the Amorepacific one in the past and that formula was really nice as well. I think it’s the packaging of these that I don’t like. This one sounds lovely though.
