Is Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade Worth the Hype?

by

Did you know that eyebrows are one of the first things we see on a person? With them, we express as much as 70 percent of expressions! Interesting, isn’t it? Whether they are thin or thick, symmetrical or asymmetrical, eyebrows should get the most of our attention precisely because of the fact above.

During the 90s and 2000s super thin eyebrows were a hit. Some girls went so far as to shave their entire eyebrows and then draw a thin line with a black pencil. Fortunately, trends are changing and the naturalness and lushness of eyebrows are being emphasized more and more. But that ‘natural’ look doesn’t mean you need to completely neglect your eyebrows, it still requires a bit of styling though.

My favorite eyebrow shaping gel for the last few years is Essence Brow Gel. It looks like a little mascara and comes in a bottle of 0.12.fl.oz / 3.8 ml for the price of $3. It is perfect if you want natural eyebrows or if you’re in a hurry. It is enough to run the applicator through the eyebrows twice and the gaps will be filled quickly. It comes in two shades, one for blondes and one for brunettes.

As I like to constantly try new products, this time I decided to give a chance to Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade which they say is the duplicate for Anastasia Bevery Hills DipBrow Pomade. I bought the pomade on Asos for £ 6.14. The product comes in a small 2.5 gram box and the package includes an application brush (one side of the brush is rounded and the other side is angled). It is available in 5 shades; Blonde, Soft Brown, Medium Brown, Auburn, Dark Brown and Graphite. I opted for Dark Brown. Also, this product is vegan and cruelty free. Make Up Revolution emphasizes that the product is waterproof, long-lasting and does not smudge. Is that true?!

Ingredients:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Isohexadecane, Cera Microcristallina, Propylparaben, Talc, Isododecane, Polybutene, Trimethylated Silica, Silica, Cera Carnauba, Bht May Contain: / (+/-) Titanium Dioxide, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499

I love thispomade, it is a complete game changer for me. It applies really easy and thecolor perfectly matches my natural eyebrow color. The brush that comes with theproduct is a little softer, so I would recommend that you maybe get some firmerbrush to make it easier applying the pomade. What I particularly liked was thelongevity of the product – when you apply it to the eyebrows, it really STAYSON and doesn’t smudge.

The revolution brow pomade is quite pigmented, so be careful when applying not to overdo it. You will need just a little bit of product for whole brows. So I believe this 2.5 gram box will last you a long time.

I read that a lot of girls had a problem with their pomade drying out quickly in a box and then they couldn’t use it. I haven’t had a problem with that so far, I’ve been using it for 4 months and it still has the same texture as the first day when I bought it.

All in all, a great product worth trying. Thumbs up!

I have their brow pencil and I really like it. I might try the pomade as I like having options. Plus it is affordable.
    Great post and recommendation!
