In the last year, we made a switch to cream make up products. Along with being easy to use, the often become 2 in 1 product, effectively saving up space in our bags, and we don’t even need to mention how much quicker we get ready. Sandra was reading an article that mentioned Burt`s and Bees illumination. Since we wanted to try out their products for some time now, it seemed like a perfect time to order them. Burt and Bees have a pretty modest assortment, we found majority of items on Notino, and being that this collection of make up has just been released, we had to order from the good old Look Fantastic. If you’re not familiar with Burt and Bees, their products are 95-100% natural, without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, glycol and petrochemicals, and all of the packaging is 100% degradable or recyclable. Company doesn’t test their raw materials nor products on animals. One the most common ingredients they use are bee’s wax, coconut oil, royal jelly, honey and many plants.
Burt’s Bees 100% Natural All Aglow Lip & Cheek Stick is a perfect product for those who love multi purpose products. It comes in 6 different shades; Blush Bay, Lilack Lagoon, Peach Pond,Peony Pool, Suez Sands and Dahlia Dew which I picked. It comes in a really nice and simple packaging of 8.5g with a price of 12.99£. Ingredients are jojoba, bee wax, sunflower and coconut oil…which kinda scared us. Why? Because oil can often be comedogenic and because we have oily skin we were afraid that the product would just slip down. Pigmentation of the product is excellent and blush haven’t caused any problems on the face, the only downside is that it slips off the face after some time. I got Burt’s Bees 100% Natural All Aglow Highlighter because i didn’t like how powder highlighters look on my face. And i gotta say, this highlighter is all in one. It comes in the same packaging as blush, and it has the same price and weight. From three shades it comes in, i opted for Bronze splash. Ingredients are again similar to the ones in blush (jojoba, coconut oil, bee wax…).
I would recommend this products if you don’t have oily skin and you like fast and effective make up. They are very simple to apply, they save you space in your cosmetics bag, they significantly freshen up and nourish your face at the same time.
Highlighter is perfect if you love natural make up, it beautifully freshens up the skin and it gives it a natural and healthy glow. I apply both blush and highlighters with fingers, first because it’s the simplest way, and second because it blends the easiest and it merges with the skin in the best way possible when you heat it up with your fingers. And that is an additional plus with us, we don’t need sponges, brushes or too much precision.
