Non-traditional Beauty Hacks That Actually Work

Just when we thought that the beauty world can’t bring us any more surprises, we saw a tutorial on Instagram for butt contouring. Sometimes we ask ourselves: why? Just why? How do people come up with those ideas? And it inspired us to bring you not so bizarre, but still non traditional. And the good part is that they work!

non-traditional beauty hacks

Believe it or not, washing your hair with mayonnaise is the secret to soft and shiny hair. Even Blake Lively does this. All you need to do is apply the mayo to your hair, and leave it for 20 minutes.

Mayonnaise contains egg yolks, oils and other ingredients that nourish and moisturize hair. So it is a great inexpensive alternative to pricey conditioning products, and all you need to do is reach to your fridge.

You can stay in your kitchen for a little bit, because for this beauty hack you’ll need garlic. Apparently, rubbing garlic on your nails will make them stronger. Leave it on your nails for 20 minutes and wipe off with a damp towel.

Note: Avoid skin contact!

Did you know that you can create wavy curls only with wooden pencil and a straightener? Believe us, it is possible. And the result is WOW!  Check out the tutorial here.

Note: Make sure to use a wooden pencil, no mechanical or plastic ones.

This beauty hack is taking the Internet by storm. Basically, it is an old Hollywood trick which boosts brow volume and creates a feathered look. And it requires only two things: a mascara spoolie and soap. You simply run the spoolie over the soap, and brush it through your brows in the direction you want them to go. Colour them with gel pencil and that’s all!

It might sound weird, but it actually works! Watch this video to see how to make it happen.

Have you tried any of these beauty hacks yet?
