Are you still associating pearls with being “old fashioned”? Think again! Coco Chanel once said, ” A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls”, and we couldn’t agree more. Pearls have been a jewelry staple for centuries, and beloved by so many famous ladies, like Cleopatra, Princess Diana, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn and many more.
Last year we started the practice of “smart shopping”. Basically, we buy only what we need and try to resist the lure of sales and cluttering up our closet. And we have to say that we are doing great! To stop us from barging in Mango and buying out the whole store, we make a list of things we need first.
One of our favorite spices, especially when it’s in cookies and cakes, do you agree? Today, cinnamon is a part of almost every kitchen, and in the 14th century it led to a hundred years war. Cinnamon was so much appreciated that it was considered more precious than gold.
Is there a better way to start a year than with a beauty treatment? What about with a beauty treatment from one of your favorite beauty brands?
Who would ever thought that this ancient beauty tool will be such a huge hit today, right? So after reading so many reviews, curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to try this beauty tool for myself. I got mine on Ebay for less than $10. New Year’s Eve is probably the only time of the year when we can all step out of our comfort zone and go all out. Sequins, feathers, lace…. the more the better!
Blazers are taking over again. And it might seem silly to be surprised. I mean, there wasn’t a day that we didn’t see someone wearing this clothing piece. Few decades ago, blazers were a symbol of female empowerment and freedom. From the Suffragette suit in 1910 as a direct response to the silly hobble skirt (long skirts that were narrow at the hem to significantly impede the wearer’s stride) to the first female suit – trimmed jacket with a matching ankle-length skirt, designed by Coco Chanel…
A long time ago, when we just started using make up, along with corrector and a ton of foundation, blush was obligatory. It didn’t change. We used eye shadow to showcase our “creativity”. If the shirt was blue, there was no other color of eyeshadow to put on than blue. We blame this on Britney Spears, somehow.
This post was supposed to be published in june, but it somehow got lost up until now. But ok, it’s never late for frozen yogurt bars, right? They are definitely suited for enjoying all year round. Even more if you love desserts as much as we do.
